Sal y la rue du Nil está justo ahí: el pequeño tramo donde Terroirs d'Avenir concentra sus cuatro tiendas (pescadería, carnicería, verdulería, panadería) y donde los cocineros del barrio hacen cola antes del servicio. Las bicis de reparto serpentean entre los antiguos mayoristas de tejidos del Sentier, con sus persianas metálicas a medio bajar, y la mañana huele a café del Télescope, a una calle de distancia.

Para el ritual del domingo: la rue Montorgueil, cerrada al tráfico, es donde l'équipe envía a sus huéspedes a tomar ostras de pie en L'Écailler du Bistrot o a probar un baba au rhum en Stohrer, la pastelería del número 51 que lleva abierta desde 1730. Pide el puits d'amour: es el dulce con el que el pastelero de Stanislas Leszczyński se hizo un nombre.
