The rue Saint-Denis wakes up in layers: shutters lifting on fabric wholesalers, the espresso machine hissing at the corner tabac, a delivery bike weaving through porters unloading bolts of silk.

It suits six: a family with a crib, or two couples splitting the bedrooms. What stays with you is the location — everything Right Bank is a walk away, and you come home to a jacuzzi.

Rue Montorgueil está a dos minutos al norte; la oirás antes de verla, con ostras que se abren sobre hielo picado frente a L'Écailler.

Por las mañanas, evita las colas en Stohrer y acércate a Terres de Café en rue des Petits Carreaux — un café de filtro, un kouign-amann de la panadería dos puertas más abajo, y ya habrás entendido el ritmo del barrio. A las 11h el mercado callejero se desborda y toda la manzana empieza a comerciar en productos frescos, opiniones y cotilleos.
