Twenty-two square metres on the second floor, and the first thing you register is the quiet — the kind that only happens above a Paris staircase, with the city humming somewhere below.

The layout is single-level and considered: a real dining table, a proper kitchen with dishwasher and coffee machine, blackout curtains for sleeping in. Air conditioning that actually works in August — rarer here than it should be.

You're a few streets from Strasbourg–Saint-Denis, where the bistros stay open late and the Porte Saint-Denis arch frames the end of the block. Walk ten minutes and you're at the Pompidou; walk five and you're at the marché.

It suits a couple, or one traveller who wants to stay a while. What lingers is the scale — small enough to feel like your own pied-à-terre, finished well enough that you stop noticing it's small.

La acera es estrecha. Los edificios se inclinan un poco. Nadie tiene prisa salvo los mensajeros en bici.

Para un café, camina cinco minutos hasta Télescope, en rue Villedo — una sala diminuta, ocho asientos, una sola máquina de espresso que lleva funcionando desde 2012. Pide el de filtro, tómatelo de pie, mira cómo rue Sainte-Anne despierta a tu alrededor. Es de esos sitios que el barrio se guarda para sí.
