Built for a group of ten who actually like each other: two couples with kids, a milestone birthday, friends converging from three cities. What stays with you is the morning — everyone in the kitchen, someone back from the boulangerie, the day still open.

Appena fuori dalla porta c'è rue du Nil — quel breve tratto dove Terroirs d'Avenir tiene aperte le sue quattro botteghe (pesce, carne, verdura, pane) e i cuochi del quartiere fanno la fila prima del servizio. Le bici dei fattorini si infilano tra i vecchi grossisti del tessile di Sentier, con le serrande di metallo a metà, e la mattina profuma di caffè di Télescope, a un isolato di distanza.

Per il rito della domenica: rue Montorgueil, chiusa al traffico, è il posto dove la nostra maison manda gli ospiti — per ostriche da mangiare in piedi a L'Écailler du Bistrot o un baba al rum da Stohrer, la pasticceria al numero 51 che esiste dal 1730. Ordinate il puits d'amour — è quello che ha reso celebre il pasticciere di Stanislas Leszczyński.
