You're walking distance from the Promenade des Anglais, but the better tell is Cours Saleya — the flower and produce market a few streets away, where the socca vendors set up before noon.

Il mercato dei fiori è aperto dal martedì alla domenica, le bancarelle di frutta e verdura ancora prima, e alle 8 i venditori in fondo stanno già tagliando la pissaladière a fette sulla piazza. Prendetene un trancio, mangiatelo in piedi con un caffè preso in uno dei café-tabacs che costeggiano il cours — è la colazione dei nizzardi, senza piatto, senza fronzoli.
