For a couple on a long weekend, this is the one. Self check-in, a soak in the tub after a day on foot, and l'équipe a message away if you need a dinner reservation.

Uscite e la rue Cler è proprio lì — il tratto pedonale dove i pescivendoli allestiscono i banchi prima delle 8, dove la fromagerie Marie-Anne Cantin stagiona ancora i suoi Camembert in una cantina dietro l'angolo, e dove i residenti fanno la fila da Davoli per il saucisson al tartufo. Alzate lo sguardo tra i palazzi e la cupola dorata di Les Invalides si staglia contro il cielo.

Per le mattine, il Café Central al 40 rue Cler è il punto di riferimento. Sedetevi fuori, ordinate un caffè allungato e una tartine imburrata, e osservate il quartiere fare la spesa — ufficiali in pensione con blazer blu navy, madri con cestini di vimini, lo stesso cameriere che è lì da anni. È la versione del 7° arrondissement che i residenti tengono per sé.
