The jacuzzi tub sits behind a walk-in shower, tucked into one of the two bathrooms — a soak deep enough to erase a day of walking cobblestones.

Three bedrooms unfold in the lower level, each with its own climate control and blackout curtains for real sleep. Above, the living room opens onto a sofa bed and wall-mounted TV, with air conditioning throughout and a kitchen kitted for actual cooking.

Step out and you're on the Marais's quieter side of the 3e — Rue de Bretagne and the Marché des Enfants Rouges are a five-minute walk, past falafel counters, natural wine bars, and the occasional gallery opening spilling onto the pavement.

It works for a family of eight, or two couples plus friends, taking a long weekend at a proper Parisian pace. What stays with you: the hot tub, after midnight, once the street has gone quiet.

Loop vijf minuten en je staat binnen in de Marché des Enfants Rouges, de oudste overdekte markt van Paris, al actief sinds 1615. Sla de Italiaanse rij over en ga naar Chez Alain Miam Miam voor een galette met comté, gerijpte ham en rucola — hij vouwt hem voor je ogen dicht, langzaam, en vertelt je precies waarom het brood ertoe doet.
