Inside the 18m² studio: a proper bed with a memory-foam mattress, a Nespresso machine on the counter, and a vintage Bluetooth speaker waiting for whatever you put on. The kitchen handles real cooking — oven, dishwasher, ceramic cooktop.

Grands Boulevards is two minutes away. Walk five and you're at Passage des Panoramas for a glass of natural wine, or pushing further north toward the slopes of Montmartre.

It's a studio for two — a couple on a long weekend, or one traveller who wants Paris on the doorstep without the noise. What stays with you: the hush of the cour once the gate closes behind you.

Dès le pas de la porte, la pente commence — la rue des Martyrs s'incline vers la butte, l'odeur du beurre chaud d'Arnaud Delmontel vous saisit avant même que vous ayez choisi votre direction. Un fleuriste sort ses seaux sur le trottoir, le tabac du coin sert ses premiers cafés, et le 9e s'éveille à sa manière bien particulière : moitié quartier, moitié coulisses pour Montmartre qui veille au-dessus.

Le matin, le bas de la rue des Martyrs se transforme en véritable rue de marché — Sébastien Gaudard, au 22, pour l'éclair café, ou un baba au rhum si vous l'avez mérité. Les habitués font la queue sans un mot ; cela va de soi. Rapportez-le à l'appartement, ou dégustez-le sur les marches de Notre-Dame-de-Lorette en regardant le quartier trouver son rythme.
