Trittst du vor die Tür, befindest du dich auf der ruhigen Seite des 2e – dort, wo die alten Stoffläden des Sentier mittags noch ihre Metallrollläden herunterlassen, wo immer ein Typ in Lieferantenweste in der zweiten Reihe in der rue d'Aboukir parkt und die Bäckerei an der Ecke der rue du Caire ab 7 Uhr nach Butter duftet. Der Gehweg ist schmal. Die Häuser neigen sich leicht. Niemand hat es eilig, außer den Fahrradkurieren.

Für einen Kaffee gehst du fünf Minuten zum Télescope in der rue Villedo – ein winziger Raum, acht Plätze, eine einzige Espressomaschine, die seit 2012 läuft. Bestell den Filterkaffee, trink ihn im Stehen, sieh zu, wie die rue Sainte-Anne um dich herum erwacht. Es ist die Art Ort, die sich das Viertel für sich behält.
