Saint-Merri is the good, unpolished pocket of the 4e. Walk five minutes to Café Charlot for breakfast, or drift toward rue des Rosiers when the falafel queues start forming.

It works for a family of eight, or two couples sharing a long weekend without stepping on each other. What they remember is coming back at midnight, pouring a glass of something cold, and getting in the jacuzzi.
