Bordeaux is the most walkable medium-sized city in France. The historic center fits inside a 30-minute walk, and the tram network covers everything else with three lines that run every 5 minutes.
Bordeaux is a cyclist's city — over 200 km of bike paths, a flat geography, and our apartments come with a vélo at the door. For trains to the wine country (Saint-Émilion, Médoc), TER lines depart Bordeaux Saint-Jean station hourly.
From the airport (BOD), Allocab takes you downtown in 20 minutes for around €30. The 30' shuttle bus to the train station runs every 15 minutes for €8.
We operate 9 апартаментов across the city's most characterful neighborhoods.
Once the historic warehouses of the wine trade, now Bordeaux's most charming neighborhood. Antique shops, natural wine bars, the quai des Chartrons along the Garonne. Sunday's marché des Chartrons is the city's best brunch ritual. Stay here for the most authentic Bordeaux experience.
The medieval streets between Place de la Bourse and Saint-Michel. Lively, lots of bistros, walking distance to everything. Better for nightlife and dining than for quiet mornings.
Multicultural, alive, slightly grittier — the Mediterranean flea market on Sundays, North African groceries, kebab joints next to bistronomy restaurants. For travelers who want texture, not postcard.
The luxury shopping district around the Cathedral. Calm in the evenings, central by day, great for a more refined stay.
Stand on Place de la Bourse and watch the Miroir d'Eau flood, then drain — Europe's largest reflecting pool. Take the river boat to spend a half-day in Bègles or Floirac. Visit the Cité du Vin (yes, the wine museum is actually fun).
Cross the Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas at sunset for the best view of the riverfront. Have dinner at Garopapilles or Le Bar à Vin — the latter is in the cours du XXX Juillet and serves Bordeaux's best wines by the glass at unbeatable prices.
Set aside one full day for the wine country. Saint-Émilion is 45 minutes east by car or train — book a tasting at Château Pavie or just walk the village. Médoc requires a car but rewards with Pauillac and Margaux.
May–June and September–October are perfect — wine harvests start in September (the vendanges are a sight), and the weather is reliably warm without the August heat. Spring brings the cherry blossoms along the quays.
July and August are festive (Fête du Vin in even years, jazz on the quays) but warm and busy. Winter is calm and atmospheric — book the wine cellars when you have them to yourself.
9 апартаментов in Bordeaux, all bookable on lavie.maison without paying Airbnb's commission. Self check-in 24/7, vélo at the door, taxe de séjour included, free luggage drop from 11:15. A real team in France that answers the phone.
