Push open the door and you're straight into your own patch of garden — twelve square metres of studio, then sky, then a small cour where the morning sun lands first.

Inside, everything's within arm's reach: a proper kitchen with dishwasher and oven, a coffee machine for the slow start, wine glasses waiting on the shelf. Outside, a table for breakfast among the leaves.

Les Chartrons wears its old wine-trade bones well. The Sunday marché des Chartrons runs along the quai, five minutes down — oysters, coffee, a walk back along the Garonne.

Made for two, or one traveller with a dog in tow (bring them, just tell us first). What stays with you is the garden — rare in Bordeaux, and entirely yours.

周日属于quai沿线的marché des Chartrons。十一点前赶到，在Baillardran摊位买cannelés，再向Blaye的葡萄酒农要一杯白葡萄酒——他会毫不讲究地倒进塑料杯里。L'équipe在place du Marché的Café Napoléon喝咖啡，两欧元，站在吧台前一饮而尽。
