Grosso is the quiet backstreet version of Nice — locals doing their shopping, the tram a few blocks off, the Promenade des Anglais and the sea a short walk south. Stop at a café on rue de France on the way back from the beach.

It's a small space for two, and honest about it. Couples who spend their days out in the city and come home for the jacuzzi will remember this one fondly.

Der Mittelpunkt des Viertels ist der Marché de la Libération, drei Minuten zu Fuß entfernt — Nices echter Markt, nicht der Touristenmarkt auf dem Cours Saleya. Komm von Dienstag bis Sonntagmorgen für Socca direkt von Chez Pipos Kupferplatte, ein Stück Tomme de brebis und die Art von Tomaten, die einem den Appetit auf Supermarkt-Tomaten zu Hause für immer verdirbt.
