Paris

Live Paris like a local

A few things we’d tell a friend visiting Paris.

01

The neighbourhoods

Marais, Canal Saint-Martin, Saint-Germain, and Montmartre early before the buses. Walk with no plan — every arrondissement is its own village.

02

At the table

Corner bakery, a market (Aligre, Enfants Rouges), a neighbourhood bistro. At lunch, the set menu (menu du jour) is the best deal in town.

03

Culture

Beyond the Louvre: Orsay, the Orangerie, Picasso, the Fondation Vuitton. Go on late-opening evenings to skip the crowds.

04

Breathe

The Luxembourg Gardens, the Tuileries, Buttes-Chaumont, the Seine banks. A car-free Sunday by the river is Paris at its best.

05

Getting around

Métro everywhere, Vélib’ along the Seine, on foot between central neighbourhoods. Skip the car — it loses more time than it saves.

06

Local tip

Sunset from the Pont des Arts or Sacré-Cœur, free museums on the first Sunday, and a Seine cruise at dusk for a new angle on the city.

Good to know

Are these the same prices I’d see on Viator directly?

Yes — exact same price, exact same booking. We just hand-pick the best for our guests and earn a small commission from Viator at no extra cost to you.

Can I cancel?

Most options ship with free cancellation up to 24 hours before the activity. Look for the "Free cancellation" badge on the card; the exact policy is shown on Viator before you pay.

When should I book?

For skip-the-line tickets and dated day trips, 1-2 weeks before is safe in peak season — top slots do sell out. For transfers, the night before is usually fine.

Do I need to print anything?

Most products are mobile tickets — you just show your phone. Your Viator confirmation has everything (meeting point, contact, voucher).

Need something you don’t see here?

Call or message us. Our concierge can arrange private guides, restaurant bookings, a chef at the apartment, or anything else.

Transfers and experiences are booked through Viator (a TripAdvisor company) and Welcome Pickups; eSIMs through Airalo, travel insurance through EKTA, museum tickets through Tiqets (via Travelpayouts); luggage storage through Stasher. Lavie Maison may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
