Who you're booking with

These terms apply when you book a stay directly with Lavie Maison (via lavie.maison or by email). Lavie Maison is the operator and your contractual partner. If you book the same apartment via Airbnb or Booking.com, the platform's terms apply — not these.

Booking and payment

Your booking is confirmed once payment is captured by Stripe and once you've received a confirmation email. The total shown at checkout is what you pay — it includes the nightly rate, cleaning, and tourist tax. Nothing further is added afterwards.

Currency: EUR. We accept all major cards, and bank transfer for stays above €1,500.

Direct bookings are guaranteed at the best price vs Airbnb / Booking.com for the same dates — if you find the same apartment cheaper on a platform, send us a screenshot and we'll match it.

Arrival and departure

Check-in is fully self-guided: you'll receive a unique door code by email two days before arrival. You can arrive any time after 2:00 pm (or earlier for certain apartments — your confirmation email gives the exact time).

If you arrive earlier, free luggage drop is available from 11:15 am in most apartments — just let us know.

Check-out by 11:00 am. No need to hand back keys — the code is automatically revoked. A late check-out can be arranged if the apartment isn't booked straight after; just ask.

Cancellation

Standard cancellation: free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival for a full refund. Between 14 and 7 days, 50% refunded. Less than 7 days, no refund.

Long stays (28+ nights): different terms apply — see your specific confirmation.

Force majeure: in the event of a government travel ban, natural disaster, or strike affecting the destination, we'll always find a solution — rebooking or refund. We're human first.

During your stay

The apartment is rented for the booked dates and for the number of guests declared at booking. Adding people without telling us is grounds for cancellation without refund.

Smoking is not allowed in any of our apartments. Most welcome pets — let us know before booking if you're travelling with one.

Parties and events are not allowed. We rent maisons for sleeping, working, eating, walking the city — not for parties. Complaints from neighbours can lead to immediate eviction without refund.

You are responsible for the apartment during your stay. Normal wear and tear is on us. Significant damage or missing items will be charged to your card.

Liability

Lavie Maison carries professional civil liability insurance. We are not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings inside the apartment — travel insurance is recommended.

If something goes wrong during your stay (broken appliance, accidental lock-out, wifi down), call us. Our équipe aims to resolve issues within the hour during office hours, within 4 hours overnight.

Disputes

We hope we never get here, but: French law applies. Any dispute must first be raised in writing to sejour@lavie.maison. Failing resolution, the competent court is the Tribunal Judiciaire de Paris.

Updates

These terms may evolve. The version in force is the one published on lavie.maison at the time of your booking. We will never apply new, more restrictive terms retroactively to existing bookings.
