These terms apply when you book a stay directly with Lavie Maison (via lavie.maison or by email). Lavie Maison is the operator and your contractual partner. If you book the same apartment through Airbnb or Booking.com, the platform's terms apply — not these.
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been captured by Stripe and you've received a confirmation email. The total shown at checkout is what you pay — it includes the nightly rate, cleaning, and tourist tax. No additional charges are added afterwards.
Currency: EUR. We accept all major cards and bank transfer for stays above €1,500.
Direct bookings are guaranteed at the best price vs Airbnb / Booking.com for the same dates — if you find the same apartment cheaper on a platform, send us a screenshot and we'll match it.
Arrival is fully self-guided: you'll receive a unique door code by email two days before check-in. You can arrive at any time after 14:00 (or earlier at some apartments — your confirmation email will specify the exact time).
If you arrive early, free luggage storage is available from 11:15 at most apartments — just let us know.
Check-out is before 11:00. No need to hand back keys — the code is automatically deactivated. A late check-out can be arranged if the apartment isn't booked immediately after; just ask.
Standard cancellation (strict policy): full refund only if you cancel within 24 hours of booking. After that: if you cancel at least 60 days before arrival, 50% of the stay is refunded; if you cancel within 60 days of arrival, no refund.
Long stays (28+ nights): different terms apply — see your specific confirmation.
The apartment is let for the booked dates and for the number of guests declared at the time of booking. Adding guests without notifying us is grounds for cancellation without refund.
Smoking is not permitted in any of our apartments. Most welcome pets — please let us know before booking if you're travelling with an animal.
Parties and events are not permitted. Our maisons are for sleeping, working, eating, wandering the city — not for gatherings. Neighbour complaints may result in immediate eviction without refund.
You are responsible for the apartment during your stay. Normal wear and tear is on us. Significant damage or missing items will be charged to your card.
Lavie Maison holds professional public liability insurance. We are not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings in the apartment — travel insurance is recommended.
If something goes wrong during your stay (broken appliance, accidental lockout, wi-fi down), call us. We aim to resolve issues within the hour during office hours, and within 4 hours overnight.
We hope it never comes to this, but: French law applies. Any dispute must first be raised in writing to sejour@lavie.maison. If unresolved, the competent court is the Tribunal Judiciaire de Paris.

These terms may change. The version in effect is the one published on lavie.maison at the time of your booking. We will never apply new, more restrictive terms retroactively to existing bookings.
