Lavie Maison is a French short-term rental management company with maisons in Paris, Bordeaux and Nice. When you book direct, contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect certain personal data — this page explains exactly what, why, and what your rights are.
Contact: sejour@lavie.maison · +33 7 45 89 66 69 · Our office is in Paris, France.
When you book direct: full name, email, phone, billing address, payment details (handled by Stripe — we never see your card number), and your stay dates. We also collect any preferences or notes you share about your stay.
When you contact us or subscribe to the newsletter: name and email — nothing else.
When you visit our site: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for analytics and security. We use Vercel Analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking) and a minimum of first-party cookies for session continuity.
Contractual: to confirm your booking, send you the access code, manage check-in/check-out and respond to your requests during the stay.
Legal: French law requires us to keep booking records for accounting and tax purposes (10 years for invoices) and to collect the taxe de séjour on behalf of local authorities.
Legitimate interest: to improve our service, prevent fraud, and very occasionally send you a newsletter about new apartments (only if you've opted in).
Our internal équipe in France. That's it.
Sub-processors strictly limited to what's necessary to deliver the service: Stripe (payments, PCI-DSS certified), Hostaway (our rental management software), Sanity (our content backend/CMS, EU-hosted), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting). All sub-processors are bound by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.
We never sell, rent or share your data for marketing purposes. Ever.
Booking records and invoices: 10 years (French Commercial Code).
Contact form messages: 3 years from the last interaction.
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe (one click in any newsletter).
Server logs: 12 months maximum.
Under GDPR you can ask us at any time for: access to your data, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of its use. Email us at sejour@lavie.maison from the address we have on file and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you feel we're mishandling your data, you can also file a complaint with the CNIL — www.cnil.fr.
The bare minimum: a session cookie to keep you signed in through the booking flow, and a cookie that remembers your language preference. No third-party advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. No Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads.
This policy may evolve if our practices change. The date below shows the last revision. Any significant change will be flagged to you at your next booking.
