Paris
The 15th is the largest and most populous of Paris's arrondissements — and the one locals quietly recommend. Residential rather than touristy: real street markets, neighbourhood cafés, leafy parks and quiet evenings. Yet the Tour Eiffel is a riverside walk away, gare Montparnasse puts the entire west of France one train away, and you get noticeably more square metres for your money than elsewhere this central.
An apartment beats a hotel in the 15th precisely because the quartier rewards those who live à la parisienne — a morning at the Rue du Commerce market, a run along the Front de Seine, dinner on a square where nobody is a tourist.
The lively heart of the arrondissement — the pedestrian Rue du Commerce for shopping, the village feel around Félix Faure and Vaugirard, and a boulangerie, brasserie or café on every corner.
The riverside side of the 15th — the Beaugrenelle shopping centre, the elevated Front de Seine walkway, and the footbridge leading to the Tour Eiffel and the small Statue of Liberty on the Île aux Cygnes.
Greener and quieter to the south — Parc Georges-Brassens and its weekend antiquarian book market, the lawns and tethered balloon of Parc André-Citroën, and fairly priced apartments on residential streets.

Few arrondissements are this well served. Métro lines 6, 8, 10 and 12 cross the quartier — line 6 with its elevated crossing of the Seine — the RER C runs along the river, and gare Montparnasse is a short walk away for TGV trains to Bordeaux, Brittany and the south-west. Orly airport lies directly to the south.
It's rightly a favourite for families and longer stays — space, quiet nights, parks and markets, and prices that leave room in the budget. Several of our apartments here offer a monthly rate compatible with the bail mobilité, and many are family-sized with two or three bedrooms.
Every apartment here is booked direct with Lavie Maison — no platform between us, a real équipe based in France, self check-in at any hour of the day or night, and rates up to 10% below the same apartment on Airbnb because no marketplace is taking its cut.

Is the 15th arrondissement a good area to stay in Paris?
Very much so — residential, safe and well connected, a favourite with Parisians and families alike. You trade tourist bustle for real neighbourhood life, more space for your budget, and easy access on foot or by métro to the Tour Eiffel, Montparnasse and the Left Bank.
Is the Paris 15th close to the Tour Eiffel?
Yes — the north of the 15th runs along the Seine opposite the 7th, so the Tour Eiffel is a 15–25 minute walk from much of the arrondissement, or a few métro stops away.
Is the 15th cheaper than central Paris?
Generally yes. Because it's residential rather than a tourist core, you get noticeably more space for the same budget — one reason it suits families and longer stays.
How well connected is the 15th?
Excellent — métro lines 6, 8, 10 and 12, the RER C along the river, and gare Montparnasse for TGV trains to the west and south-west of France. Orly airport is directly south.
