Push open the door off the cobbled cour and you're standing on teak floors, under exposed beams, between walls of bare stone and brick. Fifteen square metres, ground floor, quiet as a held breath.

The studio is properly Marais — half-timbered bones, double-glazed windows onto the courtyard, a leather sofa that unfolds into a real bed on Bultex bedding. There's an espresso machine, a moka pot, and a Bluetooth soundbar for slow mornings.

Step out and rue de Bretagne is a few minutes away, with the Marché des Enfants Rouges hiding behind its red gate — the oldest covered market in Paris, and still the best lunch in the 3e. The Arts et Métiers métro, all riveted copper like a Jules Verne submarine, sits at the end of the street.

It's a studio for two — a couple on a long Paris weekend who want the Marais on their doorstep and a courtyard to come home to.

走出门外,听见的几乎只是石板路上的脚步声——rue des Archives 在这里收窄,街角的面包店一到早上八点便排起长队,对面的烟草店三十年来一直把同样的彩票卖给同样的熟客。再往前几步,一扇绿色的门通向一处院落,稍不留神便会错过。

想喝咖啡,可以步行至 rue du Pont aux Choux 上的 Boot Café——仅六个座位,瓷砖外墙是从前修鞋铺时代留下的,一杯馥芮白值得等候。周六清晨,marché des Enfants Rouges 就在北边五分钟路程:在布列塔尼摊位点一份可丽饼,站着吃完。
