About this apartment

Morning light falls through tall windows onto the herringbone floors of Rue Dauphine, one of Saint-Germain's quieter addresses where the cafés still outnumber the tourists.

Two king bedrooms sit at opposite ends of the apartment — one opens onto a small private terrace, a rare thing in the 6e. The whirlpool tub in the main bathroom is the kind of indulgence you didn't know you needed after a day crossing the city on foot.

Step outside and you're in the thick of it: the bouquinistes along the quai, the morning market on Rue de Buci, Notre-Dame a ten-minute walk across the Pont Neuf. This is the Paris of long lunches and late dinners.

The sofa bed in the living room means the apartment sleeps six — friends sharing a weekend, a family with older kids who want their own space. What stays with you is the address itself, the kind of street you picture when you picture Paris.

About Paris 6e

Step out onto rue Dauphine and the morning belongs to the boulangers — Mulot's queue already forming, the smell of butter creeping up from rue de Buci. A few doors down, the green awning of a tabac, a flower seller arranging peonies on the pavement, and the slow trickle of editors and antiquaires opening their shutters along rue de Seine.

For coffee, walk three minutes to La Palette on rue de Seine — the tiled back room hasn't changed in decades, and the waiters still wear long white aprons. Order a noisette at the zinc, standing, like the booksellers from the quais who drift in around 11h before the lunch crowd takes over the terrace.

October 2025

We stayed at this St Germain apartment for 3 nights in October 2025. We were two adults (48 & 50) and three teenagers (16, 14, and 11), and we were delighted with this apartment. While I would normally choose a more quaint look, we opted for something more modern this time—and we were so pleased with the convenience of this apartment. Two bathrooms, enough space to sit comfortably, and good cupboard space.

Our stay in the 6th Arrondissement was fantastic. This may be the best neighborhood I have stayed at in Paris thus far. There is so much to do and see within just minutes of walking. It is not the ritziest part of town, but it is authentic, safe, and there is so much to do! There are many great cafes, bars, shops, and the access to the metro, Louvre, and Notre Dame was fantastic. It is a very lively neighborhood, so there was some street noise at night, but it always tempered down around be…
