Step out the door and you're on the cobbles of the Marais, where the boulangerie queues form before nine and the limestone façades haven't changed in three hundred years.
Inside, forty-five square metres arranged with intent: two bedrooms, an open kitchen, and the apartment's quiet luxury — a jacuzzi bath and a private sauna for the end of long walking days. Self check-in means you arrive on your own clock.
The Musée Carnavalet is around the corner, the Place des Vosges three minutes further. Detour through rue de Bretagne for the Marché des Enfants Rouges — oysters, Moroccan tagines, a glass of something cold at noon.
It suits a couple after a slow weekend, or six friends splitting the rooms before dinner somewhere nearby. What stays with you is the steam, the silence, and stepping back out into le quartier.
Step out and you're on the Haut Marais side of the 3e — narrow pavements, a tabac with its red carrot sign already lit by 7h, a fromagerie two doors down setting out crates of Comté. The cobbles run uneven toward rue de Bretagne, and by mid-morning the smell from the boulangerie meets cigarette smoke outside the café on the corner.
Le Marché des Enfants Rouges, the oldest covered market in Paris, sits a few minutes north on rue de Bretagne. Skip the obvious lunch queues and go for a galette at L'Estaminet de Bretagne, or a coffee standing at the zinc — Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays like everything worth knowing here.

We had a nice 6-night stay at this Lavie Maison apartment. Hosts were friendly and communicative. The location was absolutely perfect, in the heart of the Marais, one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris. Walkable to all Marais sights and close to several metro lines to explore other parts of Paris. The interior of the apartment was tastefully upgraded. Nicely stocked kitchen, huge bathroom (extra touch with the jacuzzi tub and sauna).

Positive: The location was great and accessing the property was very straight forward. Negative: We were expecting a higher quality for the amount we paid per night. I had a hot tub on the first night and noticed a lot of brown/black flakes floating around the water after the jets had been on. Mould? Dirt? I'm not sure but no-one had a hot tub after that. Not clean. My son put his pyjamas on top of the cupboards in the bedroom and when he pulled them down, they were covered in thick dust.

My wife and I had an wonderful stay at “Le Marais” thanks to the place We selected to be our home away from home for ten days. The description on the add was right on, the place clean, we enjoyed the sience even Marais being a bubbly neighbourhood. So close to so many good things: the Musée Cognac-Jay, the Musée Carnavalet, also the Picasso. One of my favorite bistrots in Paris in the Bistrot des Vosges, leas than ten minutes walk.
