Push open the door on the first floor and the sauna is the first surprise — cedar-warm, tucked into 45 square metres in the 3e.
Two bedrooms, each with a proper double, and a sofa bed in the living room for a sixth. The kitchen is open and fully kitted; the jacuzzi bath waits for the end of long walking days.
Outside, you're a few streets from the Musée Carnavalet and Place des Vosges, with the falafel queues of rue des Rosiers and the covered Marché des Enfants Rouges close by for a slow Sunday lunch.
Best for a small family or three couples who want the Marais on their doorstep and a sauna to come home to. Self check-in, and l'équipe a message away if you need us.
Step out and the pavement is already narrow, already Marais — a scooter angled against a bollard on rue de Bretagne, the smell of butter from a boulangerie two doors down, someone smoking outside the tabac in a chef's jacket. The hôtels particuliers keep their courtyards half-closed; you catch glimpses of gravel and a fig tree through carriage doors that haven't been repainted since the 80s.
Marché des Enfants Rouges, five minutes on foot, is the anchor. It's the oldest covered market in Paris (1615) and le matin it belongs to the neighbourhood — go before noon for a galette from Chez Alain Miam Miam, coffee at L'Estaminet, and you'll understand why locals still call it their cantine rather than a destination.

Positive: The location was great and accessing the property was very straight forward. Negative: We were expecting a higher quality for the amount we paid per night. I had a hot tub on the first night and noticed a lot of brown/black flakes floating around the water after the jets had been on. Mould? Dirt? I'm not sure but no-one had a hot tub after that. Not clean. My son put his pyjamas on top of the cupboards in the bedroom and when he pulled them down, they were covered in thick dust.

My wife and I had an wonderful stay at “Le Marais” thanks to the place We selected to be our home away from home for ten days. The description on the add was right on, the place clean, we enjoyed the sience even Marais being a bubbly neighbourhood. So close to so many good things: the Musée Cognac-Jay, the Musée Carnavalet, also the Picasso. One of my favorite bistrots in Paris in the Bistrot des Vosges, leas than ten minutes walk.

We had a nice 6-night stay at this Lavie Maison apartment. Hosts were friendly and communicative. The location was absolutely perfect, in the heart of the Marais, one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris. Walkable to all Marais sights and close to several metro lines to explore other parts of Paris. The interior of the apartment was tastefully upgraded. Nicely stocked kitchen, huge bathroom (extra touch with the jacuzzi tub and sauna).
