The studio was rebuilt from scratch, so everything works: full kitchen with oven and kettle, a proper workspace, blackout curtains for the long sleep-in. Self check-in means you arrive on your own clock.

Tram C runs a few minutes away, and Les Chartrons is the quartier you'll wander into without planning to — wine bars on rue Notre-Dame, the Sunday marché along the quais, antique shops that spill onto the pavement.

It's a nest for one, or two who like each other a lot. You'll remember how much living a small room can hold when someone has thought it through.

Step out and the limestone catches the light differently here — that pale Bordelais cream that turns gold by late afternoon. A boulangerie a few doors down sets out its first batch of cannelés around 8h, and the tramway hums past on rails so quiet you hear the pigeons first. Schoolkids cut through on scooters. Someone is always carrying flowers.

For coffee, walk to L'Alchimiste on rue de la Devise — they roast their own beans and the noisette comes in a small thick cup with a square of dark chocolate. Sit at the zinc counter if you can. Le matin, regulars argue about rugby with the barista, who pretends not to take sides.
