The marble shower catches the morning light first. Then the quiet hum of the AC, the soft creak of a first-floor floorboard in a building older than most countries.
Three bedrooms, each with its own double bed, fan out from an air-conditioned living room and open kitchen. The second bathroom hides the apartment's real luxury: a jacuzzi, built for the end of a long walking day.
Step out and you're minutes from the Carnavalet, a few streets from Place des Vosges. Drift toward rue de Bretagne for Marché des Enfants Rouges — oysters, Moroccan plates, a glass of something cold by noon.
It works for a family spreading out, or two couples sharing le quartier without tripping over each other. What they'll remember is the jacuzzi at midnight, after the Marais has gone quiet.
Step out and rue de Bretagne sets the rhythm — scooters threading past the cheesemonger, someone reading Libération on the curb outside Le Progrès, the bakery on the corner already three deep by 8h. The Marais up here is quieter than around Saint-Paul; the buildings lean a little, the courtyards stay hidden, and you hear conversations in French before English.
Marché des Enfants Rouges is the anchor, three minutes on foot — the oldest covered market in Paris, behind a red gate at 39 rue de Bretagne. Skip the queue for the Moroccan stall and go to Chez Alain Miam Miam for a sandwich with comté, figs and rocket. L'équipe eats there on Saturdays.

This apartment was in a great location in the Marais district. Very walkable to many restaurants and shops. Apartment was very clean and as described. NEspresso Machine and Tea were nice to have. Bathroom toiletries also provided. 2 of 3 rooms have retractable blinds. I would recommend to the owners to provide pull down blinds for the 3rd bedroom that only had a window to improve privacy.

Super Lage, sehr saubere Unterkunft, sehr zu empfehlen. Positive: Top eingerichtet, alles sehr sauber.

In my opinion, this is a great value for money. Yes, the bedrooms are extremely small, but I’ve been to the city four or five times and have yet to see a large bedroom in Paris unless you’re willing to pay significantly more. However, the living room is big enough to open all your suitcases. The location is perfect for enjoying Le Marais yet the apartment is still on a peaceful and quiet street.
