Step inside and the first thing you notice is the woodwork — custom timber structures that fold beds, storage, and quiet corners into a single sculpted gesture across 42m².

Two double beds and four singles tuck into those built-ins, sleeping eight without the room ever feeling crowded. There are two bathrooms, and one holds a jacuzzi tub — the kind of detail you return to after a long day on the pavés.

Outside the door is Rue Greneta, a thin Sentier street that opens onto Le Marais in one direction and the covered passages in the other. Marché Montorgueil is a five-minute walk for morning bread and oysters at the counter.

It suits a family, or a group of friends taking Paris together for a long weekend. What stays with them, usually, is the bath — and the strange, satisfying logic of sleeping inside a piece of furniture.

Step out and you're on the quieter side of the Sentier — wholesale fabric shops with their shutters half-drawn, a printer's window stacked with paper samples, the smell of coffee drifting from a counter where three men in aprons are already on their second espresso. The streets are narrow, slightly sloped, paved in a way that makes scooters rattle past at 8h.

For le matin, walk to Terres de Café on rue des Petits Carreaux — single-origin beans, a serious crowd, and a croissant from Mamiche two doors down. The whole rue Montorgueil pedestrian stretch starts here: oysters at Au Rocher de Cancale by lunch, natural wine by dusk, and the kind of slow drift between the two that defines this corner of the 2e.
