The kitchen window looks onto a quiet stretch of the 7th, close enough to hear the boulangerie shutter lift at dawn.
Inside, twenty-five square metres arranged with care: a balneo tub for slow evenings, air conditioning for August, a proper dining table for four. The bedroom hides its storage behind clean lines and a real double bed.
Gros-Caillou is the 7th at its most lived-in. Rue Cler runs a few streets over — its market stalls, its fromagerie, the small cafés where regulars still get a nod from the waiter.
It suits a couple who wants Paris on foot, or four friends willing to share close quarters for a long weekend. What stays with you is the tub, and how quickly the neighbourhood starts to feel like yours.
Step out and rue Cler is a two-minute walk — a pedestrian market street where the fromagers, fleuristes and poissonniers set up under green awnings and locals do their shopping with wicker paniers. The dome of the Invalides catches the light above the rooftops, and the seventh has that particular hush of a quartier where diplomats live above bakeries.
For le matin, head to Café Constant on rue Saint-Dominique — Christian Constant's corner bistro where the counter fills early with neighbours ordering a noisette and a tartine beurrée. Come back at lunch for the œuf mayo and a glass of Chinon; it's the kind of address the seventh keeps quietly to itself.

Great location and overall a good stay, which is why I am giving 5 stars. I especially appreciated being able to drop off our luggage before check-in. However, future guests should know that the apartment is very small. We were one adult and two children, and the space felt cramped. With a suitcase open, there was barely room to move around. In my opinion, it is best suited for one or two people. Storage is limited, with no closet, drawers, luggage rack, or enough hangers.

Jacques is a very kind and responsive host, after our stay we had an issue (no related to the apartment) and she helped us very fast, efficiently, and in a very good manner and mood, thank you so much Jacques. Much appreciate it. Regarding the flat, is very comfortable, and very clean. New Air conditioner, excellent for the 33 degres in Paris; the bed was super comfortable, the sheets very clean, enough pillows and towels.
