Push open the gate, punch in the code, and you're in a cobbled courtyard — half-timbered walls, exposed stone, the hush of a building that's been here since the 1700s.
The studio was a stable once, then the first office of Publicis. Today it's 18m² of careful renovation: a real 140cm bed with a memory-foam mattress, a Nespresso on the counter, a vintage Bluetooth speaker waiting for your playlist.
Step out and you're on the Grands Boulevards — five minutes to the métro, ten to Galeries Lafayette, and Rue des Martyrs climbing toward Montmartre with its bakeries and flower stalls.
It's a small space for two, made for a couple who'd rather spend their days in the city than in the room. What stays with you is the courtyard — that pocket of quiet, three minutes from the noise.
Step out and the slope begins immediately — rue des Martyrs tilting up toward the butte, the smell of warm butter from Arnaud Delmontel before you've decided which way to turn. A florist sets out buckets on the pavement, the tabac at the corner takes its first orders of coffee, and the 9e wakes up in that particular way: half neighbourhood, half theatre wing for Montmartre upstairs.
Le matin, the lower stretch of rue des Martyrs runs as a proper market street — Sébastien Gaudard at number 22 for the éclair café, or a baba au rhum if you've earned it. Locals queue without comment; it's understood. Bring it back to the apartment, or eat it on the steps of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette and watch the quartier sort itself out.

Estelle’s apartment is exactly as described and photographed. The location is amazing. Rue du Faubourg Montmartre and Blvd Montmarte is very lively all the time, even walking back past midnight it is well lit and have people on weeknights. We felt very safe at this location at all times. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great with high pressure.

We had a great stay at Lavie Maison in the 9th district. A quick walk to lots of local restaurants and bars, and most importantly Galaries Lafayette. As with any AirBnB I will always note in my review that more than one towel should be left per guest, but that is a minuscule complaint - especially when laundry services are available. One thing to note is laundry detergent is not supplied for guests, however a grocery store is just 5 steps away.
