Push open the door and the first thing you register is steam — a sauna and hot tub tucked into the bathroom of a Paris apartment, which is not a sentence you write often.
Forty-one square metres, air-conditioned, two bedrooms with proper doubles and a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen opens onto the dining table for six. Windows face the street, so expect a little of the quartier drifting up.
You're in Gros-Caillou, a village-in-Paris pocket of the 7e. Rue Cler is a two-minute walk — the pedestrian market street where Parisians actually buy their oysters, cheese, and Wednesday flowers.
A family or two couples travelling together will get the most from it. The memory you'll take home isn't the Tower down the road. It's the hot tub, after a long day on your feet.
Step out and rue Cler is three minutes away — the market street where the fishmonger sets up his ice at 8h and the fromagerie hands you a numbered ticket even in August. The Tour Eiffel appears at odd angles, over a rooftop, between two Haussmann façades, then gone. Diplomatic plates line the curbs. A woman walks a small dog past the École Militaire, unhurried.
For coffee, Café Central on rue Cler — sit outside, order a noisette, watch the quartier do its shopping. It's the sort of place where the waiter recognises you by the second morning and brings the paper without asking. Later, cross to the Champ-de-Mars at dusk; locals bring blankets, a bottle, and pretend the tower isn't there.

I’m so torn in reviewing this apartment because selfishly we want to keep this hidden gem a secret! We absolutely loved our stay here, from the beautifully renovated kitchen to the incredible bathroom with jet tub and sauna. The location is my personal favorite in Paris - nice and quiet, away from the crowds, but walking distance to all the central attractions of the city.

We really enjoyed our stay the apartment had almost everything we needed and was well-equipped with the essentials. Pros: • Great location • Responsive and helpful host • Friendly, safe, and quiet neighborhood • Plenty of towels and a spacious bathroom • The jacuzzi was a nice touch — very relaxing • Grocery store and an excellent bakery nearby Cons: • The apartment is quite small; it comfortably fits four people, but six would be a tight squeeze • The hallway leading to the apartme…

It’s a great place to stay it’s close to most of the attractions by walking. Easy to find and host is very friendly. The place is clean and private. While the rooms are cosy, would need to use the living room area to open/store your suitcases. Suitable for families rather than 2 couples. The living area is nice to spend time with your families after a long day. One of the best things is the jacuzzi and sauna after a long visiting day outside. Great restaurants and cafes around.
