Morning light falls through the window onto twelve square metres of clever design — a double bed, a compact kitchen, everything you need and nothing you don't.
The studio sits in Chartrons, Bordeaux's antique-dealer-turned-hipster quarter. A dishwasher handles last night's wine glasses, the coffee machine gets you moving, and the Wi-Fi keeps you connected when the city finally lets you sit still.
Walk five minutes to the Sunday market on Quai des Chartrons, where oyster vendors shuck to order and locals queue for rotisserie chicken. The Garonne runs just beyond, wide and slow in the afternoon sun.
This is a solo traveller's apartment, or a couple who'd rather spend their budget on Margaux than square footage. You'll remember how easy it was — the self-check-in, the neighbourhood, the sense that you had exactly enough.
Step out and the stone is everywhere — that pale Bordeaux limestone that turns gold around 18h. The tram glides past on rails so quiet you hear the bell before the carriage. A boulangerie somewhere on the block is pulling its second batch; the woman walking her dog has a baguette tucked under her arm like a newspaper. Scooters lean against the bollards. Someone is unlocking a wine shop with a very small key.
For the morning ritual, find the Marché des Capucins — open Tuesday through Sunday, busiest before 10h. Locals call it "le ventre de Bordeaux," and they mean it: oysters from Arcachon shucked at the counter, a glass of Entre-deux-Mers, elbows on zinc. Order the dozen n°3 with rye bread and butter. It's how the city wakes up on Sundays.

Cozy and convenient stay Positive: Very clean and well equipped small studio. Huge tv screen. Around the corner from the tram. Staff was very helpful in responding to queries. Very clean and well thought through space. Negative: Semi basement level. But still enough light. Was good for 1 person, would have been tight if the pullout bed was used. Would be nice to have reading light by the bed and some cosy lighting.

Ottima esperienza.
