About this apartment

Step out the door and the colonnades of the Palais-Royal are right there, gravel gardens raked into quiet order behind them. The apartment opens directly onto the street — no lift, no lobby, no fuss with luggage.

The layout splits across two floors: a bright living room and kitchen at street level, then stairs down to a hushed bedroom in the basement. Day and night, cleanly divided. Two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and self check-in via key box whenever you land.

Walk five minutes to Kitsuné's café under the arcades, or cut through to rue Montorgueil for oysters and market noise. The Louvre is a stroll; the métro sits at the corner.

Made for a couple who want to disappear into the 1er and re-emerge for dinner. What stays with you is the address — that quiet moment stepping out onto a street most people only cross on the way somewhere else.

About Louvre – Palais-Royal

Step out and the rue de Rivoli hum is already there, arcades on your left, the gilt railings of the Palais-Royal gardens just across the way. Turn the corner and you're in the quieter grid of rue de Montpensier or rue de Beaujolais, where the light narrows and the tourists thin out. Le matin, it's mostly locals cutting through the colonnade with a coffee.

For that coffee, aim for Télescope on rue Villedo — a slip of a place, ten seats, a filter menu that changes weekly. Order the flat white and a canelé from the counter, then walk it two minutes to the Palais-Royal fountains and sit on the stone rim. That short loop is the neighbourhood's whole argument.

We really enjoyed our stay here, even though there were a few issues. Some minor things like dead batteries in the remote and outdated Wi-Fi info in the guidebook/ Airbnb app were easy enough to deal with.

The stay was perfect. The apartment is ideal for one or two people, and the location truly cannot get any better — just a 5-minute walk from the Louvre. It is indeed compact, but everything you need is there and very well organized. The private entrance is a big plus.

This place was great! The location felt very safe which was important to me as a female solo traveller. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, it is clear the host tries to create the best experience possible for guests. There were a few quirks. The air conditioning in the bedroom did not work well, and would produce hot air as well as cold air. However, there was a portable fan and the main air conditioning unit was better which was helpful.
