Rue de Javel wakes up slowly — the boulangerie on the corner, the hum of the Félix Faure metro two blocks down, someone walking a small dog past your window.

Forty-five square metres, arranged with intent: a double bedroom, a sofa bed tucked into the living room, a proper dining table for four. The kitchen is fully kitted — dishwasher, kettle, wine glasses waiting on the shelf. There's a fireplace, too, which surprises people.

Beaugrenelle is the quartier that Parisians actually live in. Walk ten minutes to the shopping centre by the Seine, or head the other way toward the Rue du Commerce for the small cafés and the Sunday marché.

Best for a family of four or two couples sharing. What stays with you is the walk home along the river at dusk, the Eiffel Tower doing its thing in the distance.

Step out onto the Front de Seine and the first thing you notice is the light — river-wide, unbroken, bouncing off the glass towers that no one warned you about. The joggers are already out along the quai André-Citroën, the 15e is waking up slowly, and the Eiffel Tower sits closer than it should, framed at the end of rue Linois like someone hung it there on purpose.

Le marché de Grenelle sets up under the métro aérien on boulevard de Grenelle on Wednesday and Sunday mornings — a proper Parisian market, not a curated one. Come before 10h for the rotisserie chicken from the stand near rue du Commerce, and eat it later on a bench facing the Seine. That's the ritual worth keeping.
