The windows open onto Rue de Rivoli, and below, the arcades stretch toward the Louvre in one long, unbroken line.

Sixty-four square metres, three bedrooms, a sofa bed tucked into the living room — enough space for eight without anyone tripping over a suitcase. Air conditioning for August. A proper kitchen with an oven, a dishwasher, wine glasses lined up for the evening.

Cross the road and you're in the Tuileries. Walk ten minutes east and you're deep in le Marais, weaving past Merci and the falafel queues on Rue des Rosiers. Châtelet métro is three minutes on foot, which means everywhere else is roughly twenty.

It suits a family, or two couples splitting the rent on a long weekend. What stays with you is the address itself — waking up on Rivoli, and stepping straight into the middle of everything.

Step out onto rue de Rivoli and the noise arrives first — scooters, the metallic roll of a shop grille lifting on rue Vieille-du-Temple, the queue already forming outside L'As du Fallafel by late morning. Turn the corner and the traffic thins into the Marais proper: narrow pavements, a Hôtel particulier doorway ajar on a private cour, the tabac on rue des Rosiers doing its steady trade in cigarettes and lottery tickets.

For le matin, walk five minutes to Boulangerie Julien on rue Saint-Antoine and ask for a chausson aux pommes still warm from the oven. It's the sort of address locals guard quietly — third-generation, no seating, a queue that moves fast. Take it to place des Vosges, sit on a bench under the arcades, and understand why the fourth arrondissement has never needed to sell itself.
