Rue de Javel wakes up slowly — a boulanger pulling up the shutters, someone walking a dog toward the Seine, the top of the Tower catching light between the rooflines.

Sixty-four square metres spread across two bedrooms and a living room bright enough to linger in. The kitchen is properly kitted out — dishwasher, kettle, wine glasses on the shelf — and self check-in means you arrive on your own clock.

Beaugrenelle is the quiet side of the 15e. Walk ten minutes to the Champ de Mars, or duck into the covered market on Rue Saint-Charles for cheese, oysters and a bottle to bring home.

It suits a family of four or five, or friends stretching out over a long weekend. What stays with them is usually the same thing — the Tower, still there, from the corner of the street.

Step out and the Seine is two blocks away, the tramway humming along the quai past joggers and dog-walkers on the Parc André-Citroën lawns. The buildings here are 1970s glass and stone rather than Haussmann, and the ground floors hide something the postcards miss — a Monoprix that stays open late, a fromagerie on rue Saint-Charles, and the Métro Javel-André Citroën five minutes on foot.

For le matin, walk to Marché Grenelle under the elevated tracks of Line 6 on Wednesdays and Sundays — oysters from Cancale, rotisserie chickens turning over trays of potatoes, and a flower seller near the Dupleix end. Grab a coffee after at Ten Belles Bread on rue Bréa or the small counter at Boulangerie Vialle, then walk back along the river with the Eiffel Tower framing every glance north.
